MEIZU 6T with 5.7-inch display and dual camera launched in China

The Chinese handset maker, MEIZU recently expanded its M-series of smartphones in Russia with the launch of the MEIZU M8c. The newest smartphone comes in as the successor to the MEIZU M6, which was released in China last year. Now, the handset maker has launched another budget smartphone called MEIZU 6T on its home soil. The smartphone flaunts an 18:9 display and dual cameras as its highlights.

The MEIZU 6T comes with a 5.7-inch display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and a screen resolution of 1,440 x 720 pixels. In the performance department, the smartphone gets an octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor that has been mated to Mali T860 GPU. The handset maker is offering the latest launch in three variants – 3GB + 32GB, 4GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB. As for security, the smartphone offers a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

Coming to the optics department of the smartphone, it offers a f/2.2 13MP Sony IMX278 primary camera accompanied by a 2MP secondary camera with a f/2.4 aperture on the rear. For selfies and video calling, there is an 8MP front camera with f/2.0 aperture. As for the software, the smartphone boots Flyme OS 6.2 based on Android 7.0 Nougat, out of the box. In terms of connectivity, the smartphone offers 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS / GLONASS. A 3,300mAh battery under the hood keeps the lights on for the phone.

MEIZU is offering the 6T in three colour options – black, gold and red. As for the pricing, the 3GB + 32GB variant will set you back by RMB 799 (~Rs 8,500) and the 4GB + 32GB model costs RMB 999 (~Rs 10,500). The high-end variant, on the other hand, comes with a sticker price of RMB 1,0999 (~Rs 11,600). The handset is already up for pre-order in China and is slated to go on sale starting June 1st.
