Xiaomi Mi Band 3 with 0.78-inch OLED display and waterproof build goes official

Xiaomi today hosted its 2018 Annual Product Launch event in Shenzhen, China where the brand launched its much-anticipated flagship the Mi 8 and its siblings in the form of the Mi 8 Explorer Edition and Mi 8 SE. Apart from smartphones, the brand also launched a number of other products, including the next-generation Mi Band 3. 

The third-gen Mi Band ships with a 0.78-inch OLED display. The Xiaomi Mi Band 3 lets users check notifications from various apps, see the caller ID and also mute the call from the band itself. Further, the fitness tracker also comes with the motion tracking and health management features, including the heart rate monitor and steps counter. 

The newest fitness tracker also comes with a waterproof build and can survive underwater up to 50 meters. While the battery spec is not known, the Mi Band 3 claims to offer an improved battery life of up to 20 days.

Xiaomi is offering the Mi Band 3 in three colour options with Black, Blue and Pink straps. The accessory will set you back by RMB 169, which is roughly Rs 1,800. The Chinese electronics giant is also offering another variant of the band, which comes with NFC for mobile payments, and is priced at RMB 199 (~ Rs 2,100). There is no word on Indian availability and pricing at the moment, but we will bring you the update as and when the brand announces it.
