Alleged Nokia 5.1 Plus with 5.86-inch and 19:9 ratio spotted on TENAA
“The Nokia 5.1 Plus is expected to be the brand’s second smartphone with a display notch”
Last month, Nokia launched its first notch-bearing display smartphone dubbed the Nokia X6, which for now is only available in the Chinese market. Now it appears that the company is planning to launch its second smartphone with a display cutout. Ahead of its unveiling, the upcoming Nokia 5.1 Plus has been spotted on Chinese certification agency TENAA’s website. The listing has revealed the core specifications and images of the upcoming Nokia offering.

The TENAA listing indicates that the Nokia 5.1 Plus will have less powerful specifications than the Nokia X6. The phone could feature a 5.86-inch display bearing a resolution of 1,520 x 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The handset will be powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core processor. As of now, it’s not clear if the SoC under the hood will be a Snapdragon or a MediaTek offering.
Furthermore, the listing on the certification’s website suggests that the Nokia 5.1 Plus could sport 3GB, 4GB, and 6GB RAM variants, which could be available in 32GB and 64GB storage models. The handset is expected to sport a 13MP rear snapper, aided by an unknown secondary sensor. For selfies, it is said to offer an 8-megapixel selfie snapper. The other features mentioned include a fingerprint sensor, expandable storage up to 128GB, a 3,000mAh battery, and Android Oreo.

The listing has also indicated that the Nokia 5.1 Plus could be available in blue, black, and white variants. If the reports are to be believed, this device is expected to be launched as the Nokia X5 in China, and as the Nokia 5.1 Plus in global markets.
