Alleged Nokia X6 variants with model numbers TA-1109 and TA-1099 get Bluetooth certification

HMD Global, the license holder of the Nokia brand, launched the Nokia X6 in China just last month. At the time, the smartphone was a China-exclusive device but later there were speculations that a global variant is in works as well. These reports started when the brand created a poll on social media asking whether it should bring the Nokia X6 for the global market, and then a new model number TA-1103 was spotted on Bluetooth SIG and NCC. Now it seems that two more variants of the smartphone are in the pipeline – TA-1109 and TA-1099, which have been spotted on the Bluetooth certification website recently.

These model numbers are closest to the Nokia TA-1103, which is expected to be the global variant of the X6. Therefore, we can safely assume that the two new variants are a possible carrier- or region-specific variants of the Nokia X6. Moreover, while the Nokia TA-1099 is seen sporting Bluetooth 5.0, the other is seen with the last generation Bluetooth 4.2. This seems a little strange and gives rise to the speculations that these models can also be two entirely different products. However, everything is mere speculation at this point and we advise you take this bit of information with a pinch of salt.

To recap on the Nokia X6, the smartphone ships with a 5.8-inch display with a notch up top and a 19:9 aspect ratio bearing full HD+ resolution. The performance of the handset is driven by a Snapdragon 636 processor. HMD Global is offering the handset in three configurations – 4GB RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM + 64GB storage. In the imaging department, the phone offers a 16MP + 5MP module at the back and 16MP camera at the front. The Nokia X6 boots stock Android 8.1 Oreo and is powered by a 3,060mAh battery.
