Apple iPhone 2018 variants and 6.1-inch LCD iPhone leaked in dummy units

“Apple is expected to launch two iPhone X models and a low-cost 6.1-inch iPhone this year”

Several reports in the past have indicated that Apple is planning to launch the second-gen iPhone X, iPhone X Plus, and a low-cost 6.1-inch iPhone model this year. Ahead of the unveiling, the next-gen iPhone variants have already been leaked a number of times. Just last week, the schematics of the iPhone X Plus and 6.1-inch low-cost iPhone hit the interwebs. Now, the alleged dummy units of the upcoming iPhones have been leaked by the Japanese blog Macotakara. In addition, a separate report suggests that Apple will not be launching the 2nd-gen iPhone SE model this year.

Apple iPhone X next-gen models dummy units

Talking about the next-gen iPhone leaks first, a hands-on video of the dummy units of the 2nd-gen iPhone X, iPhone X Plus, and 6.1-inch iPhone have revealed their purported final design. The source claims that the final design schematics of the upcoming iPhones have been floating through the Asian supply chain, which has allowed for their 3D dummy units to be created.

As per the report, the 5.8-inch variant of the iPhone X coming this year will have dimensions of 143.65mm by 72.03mm by 7.69mm thick. It appears that the next-gen iPhone X will be about 1.1mm wider than its predecessor. As for the 6.4-inch OLED iPhone X Plus, the phone’s dimension could measure 157.73mm by 77.44mm by 7.85mm thick. The 6.4-inch iPhone X plus is expected to offer the same camera technology as the current-gen iPhone X. Talking about the 6-inch LCD iPhone, the phone is said to measure 150.81mm by 75.72mm by 8.47mm thick.

Talking about the iPhone SE 2 leak, the popular case maker Olixar claims that Apple might have cancelled the plans of launching the phone this year. The Cupertino tech giant is expected to launch its largest iPhone ever instead of a smaller iPhone SE 2. The case maker says that it’s so confident in this information that it has started production on its official line of accessories for upcoming iPhones.
