“The X5 (2018) comes as a budget offering with a MediaTek chipset and 2GB RAM”
Earlier this year, LG expanded its X series of smartphones with the launch of the X4+, followed by the unveiling of X4 in March. Now, the handset maker has gone ahead and added another smartphone in the range – the LG X5 (2018). The new smartphone comes with a beefy battery and is the successor of the LG X5, which was released back in 2016.
Coming to the spec sheet, the LG X5 (2018) sports a 5.5-inch display with the conventional 16:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1,280 x 720 pixels. As for the performance, the smartphone gets a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor ticking at its core. The chipset has been further mated to 2GB of RAM and 32GB of inbuilt storage, which can be further expanded using a microSD card. There’s a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner for security as well as the support for LG Pay.
Moving on to the camera department, the smartphone comes with a 13-megapixel shooter on the rear panel accompanied by an LED flash. For selfies and video calling, you get a 5-megapixel snapper on the front panel. The handset maker has preinstalled the Android 8.0 Oreo operating system on the smartphone with its own interface on top. As for the power requirements, the LG X5 (2018) gets a massive 4,500mAh battery under the rear panel. The handset measures 154.7mm x 78.1mm x 8.9mm and weighs 171gms.
LG is offering the newest launch in a single colour option of Moroccan Blue in Korea. The smartphone comes with a price tag of KRW 3,63,000, which converts to roughly Rs 22,500. At this point, the smartphone is only available on its home soil and there’s no word if it’ll be launched globally.
