MEIZU M6 with 5.2-inch screen, 2GB RAM launched for Rs 7,699
“The MEIZU M6 is an entry-level offering with 4G VoLTE and a fingerprint sensor”
It’s been some time since Chinese brand MEIZU launched a new smartphone in the Indian market. The last phone that the company released in the country was the MEIZU Pro 7, which was launched without much fanfare. Today, the brand quietly released the MEIZU M6 in India. The phone appeared on Amazon without any official announcement or a press release. The budget offering was originally released in China last year.

The MEIZU M6 sports a polycarbonate body that’s made to look metallic using Non-Conducive Vacuum Metallisation (NCVM) process. The handset gets a fingerprint sensor, which is embedded into its home button. The phone features a 5.2-inch HD display, and is powered by a 1.5GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6750 processor. The device offers 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, which can be further expanded by inserting a microSD card.
For imaging, MEIZU M6 offers a 13-megapixel primary camera with an RGBW colour sensor and an LED flash. On the front, the device has an 8-megapixel snapper with an aperture of f/2.0. The connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and GPS. A 3,080mAh battery and Flyme OS 6 based on Android 7.0 Nougat complete the list of its specs.
The MEIZU M6 has been priced at Rs 7,699, and is available on Amazon India. The phone comes in a single black colour variant. The phone will be facing stiff competition in the country as handsets like the Xiaomi Redmi 5 (review) offer the new-gen 18:9 display, a premium design, and a Snapdragon 450 SoC at a similar price tag.
