Micromax Canvas 2 Plus with 5.7-inch 18:9 display launched for Rs 8,999

The indigenous handset maker, Micromax introduced the taller 18:9 displays in its lineup with the launch of the Canvas Infinity. Later, the brand introduced its upgrade in the form of the Canvas Infinity Pro. Now, the brand has gone ahead and added another smartphone with a tall aspect ratio to its arsenal. Interestingly, the company is reviving the old classic called the Canvas 2 as its new smartphone is dubbed the Canvas 2 Plus. 

As for the specs, the Micromax Canvas 2 Plus comes with a 5.7-inch display bearing an HD+ resolution. At its core ticks a 1.3GHz quad-core processor backed by 3GB RAM. The phone comes with 32GB storage, which is expandable further with the use of a microSD card. In terms of optics, the latest phone comes with a 13-megapixel shooter on the rear panel and an 8-megapixel front camera for selfies. On the software front, the Canvas 2 Plus ships with Android Nougat. As for the power requirements, the phone draws juice from a beefy 4,000mAH battery under the rear panel. Further, the Canvas 2 Plus offers a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and face unlock for security purposes.

Micromax is offering the handset in a single Jet Black finish. The smartphone will be available to buy from retail stores across the country for Rs 8,999.
