Nokia A1 Plus with Snapdragon 845 and under-display fingerprint scanner to launch around September
“The Nokia A1 Plus, which is also known as A1P or AOP is expected to be the Nokia 9 flagship”
HMD Global owned brand, Nokia’s last flagship came in the form of Nokia 8 Sirocco (review), which was one of the most impressive smartphones in recent times. Now, it seems that the brand is all set to launch its next flagship, as rumours have been floating around about an alleged Nokia A1 Plus or A1P or AOP. Now, popular tipster Roland Quandt has revealed some interesting features that the upcoming flagship is expected to come with.
Yes, you may have heard rumors before, but here’s proof. HMD and FIH are working on the Nokia “A1P” aka “A1 Plus” aka “AOP” with Snapdragon 845 and an under-display fingerprint reader (LG OLED panel). Also has a “high risk” camera, whatever that means. https://t.co/V9tU6xUVzQ

According to Quandt, the brand is working with its hardware supplier and manufacturing partner FIH Mobile (Foxconn) for the upcoming flagship. If reports are to be believed, the upcoming Nokia flagship will come with the high-end Snapdragon 845 SoC with a clock speed of 2.8GHz. Further, the upcoming flagship is expected to come with an under-display fingerprint scanner. According to the tipster, the brand was facing issues with the same in the past. However, the issue was resolved by using the thinner OLED panel from South Korean brand, LG.
Another interesting development comes in the form of cameras on Nokia A1 Plus. According to the tipster, the brand spoke of the cameras on Nokia A1 Plus as ‘High Risk’ units, however, nothing is clear at this point as to what Nokia means by that. Further, there have been rumours that the upcoming Nokia 9 is likely to come with an under-display fingerprint scanner. So we can assume that the Nokia A1 Plus could very well be the Nokia 9. However, everything is just speculation at this point and we suggest to take this bit with a pinch of salt.
According to the latest report, the brand is likely to launch the next smartphone around August or September. We will bring you more updates as and when they turn up, so stay tuned.
