Nokia X6 spotted on Taiwan’s NCC certification, global launch expected soon

After a new variant of Nokia X6 with the model number Nokia TA-1103 was spotted on a Bluetooth certification website, HMD Global did hint that the handset might be heading to global markets. Notably, the brand launched the handset in China last month and initially denied if the smartphone will be sold outside of China. Now, the same model number – Nokia TA-1103 has been spotted on Taiwan’s NCC certification website, confirming that it is indeed headed to global markets and Taiwan seems to be the next stop.

As for the spec sheet, the global variant of the smartphone is not expected to differ from the one launched in China. Therefore, we can expect the global Nokia X6 to ship with a 5.8-inch display with a full HD+ screen resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio to accommodate the display notch. In the performance department, the smartphone gets Snapdragon 636, which also powers smartphones like Xiaomi Redmi Note 5 Pro(review) and ASUS ZenFone Max Pro M1 (review). In China, the Nokia X6 is being offered in three configurations – 4GB RAM + 32GB storage, 4GB RAM + 64GB storage, and 6GB RAM + 64GB storage.

Moving on to the imaging department, the Nokia X6 gets a 16MP + 5MP dual camera module on the rear and a 16MP selfie shooter. Further, the Nokia X6 happens to be an Android One branded smartphone, running the stock Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box. The handset is also entitled to receive regular and frequent updates from Google before some of the other handsets. There is a 3,060mAh battery under the rear panel to keep the show going. As for the connectivity options, the smartphone gets 4G VoLTE connectivity, USB type-C, and FM.
