OPPO Find X to offer 5x Dual Camera Zoom and 5G support
“The Find X will be the first smartphone to come with a periscope-style dual-camera module”
OPPO has already sent out media invites for a Paris event to be held on June 19th at Louvre in Paris, France. The handset maker is expected to launch the much-anticipated Find X smartphone at the event. Notably, with the upcoming handset, the brand is reviving its premium flagship Find series after a hiatus of over four years. Now, ahead of the launch, the Chinese company has confirmed several key features of its next-gen super-premium offering.
The OPPO Find X will be equipped with a periscope-style dual camera module with a wide-angle lens and a telephoto lens offering up to 5x Dual Camera Zoom. Notably, the 5x Dual Camera Zoom technology was showcased by OPPO at the MWC 2017. The telephoto lens in the camera module sits in a periscope-style structure and thus offers deep zoom with its angle rotated at 90 degrees. OPPO claims that this arrangement is 10 percent thinner than a traditional smartphone offering 2x optical zoom. Apart from this, the brand has also confirmed that the Find X will flaunt Super VOOC Flash Charge, which can fully charge a 2,500mAh battery within 15 minutes. Interestingly, this concept was showcased by the phonemaker two years back at MWC 2016.
OPPO Find X is also confirmed to have support for 5G network and 3D structured light for enhanced secure payment, 3D reconstruction, AR, and gaming, among others. Further, in the teaser, we can see the silhouette of the upcoming smartphone with what looks like the bezel-less design with a dual-curved display.
According to previous reports, the Find X will come flaunting a 6.4-inch AMOLED display with a screen resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels. In the performance department, the smartphone is expected to be powered by the high-end Snapdragon 845 processor, accompanied by 8GB RAM and 128GB storage. Out of the box, the smartphone is expected to boot the Android 8.1 Oreo. As for the power requirement, the handset is tipped to come with a 3,645mAh battery.
As of now, no other details about the upcoming smartphone is known. We will bring you more updates next week when the OPPO Find X goes official.
