“The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is expected to come with a beefy 4,000mAh battery and a 512GB variant”

If there is one brand that enjoys the undulated response from its fans, it has to be Samsung and its upcoming Galaxy Note 9 has been in news for a while now. Amidst all the rumours and speculations, the brand has already confirmed that the upcoming phablet will be unveiled at an event on August 9th. Now, in a massive leak ahead of the launch, industry veteran Eldar Murtazin has revealed major specs and features of the upcoming flagship after having a hands-on experience with a pre-production unit in the US.

According to the latest report, the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 will come with the same design and make as the Galaxy Note 8 (review) albeit with a subtle difference. The upcoming Galaxy Note series flagship will have the fingerprint scanner under the dual camera module on the rear panel just like the Galaxy S9 (review) and S9+ (review) duo. Further, the report says that the upcoming smartphone feels heavier compared to its predecessor, which could be attributed to the bigger battery that is speculated to be a 4,000mAh unit. Murtazin also claims that the battery can last one to two days of normal usage and 23 to 25 hours of video playback at maximum brightness, which is pretty impressive.

Coming to the performance, the leak suggests that while South Korea and the US will get the Snapdragon 845 variant, the rest of the world will get a new Exynos chipset, possibly Exynos 9810. The analyst lays emphasis on how fast the Exynos-powered smartphone felt even at the pre-production stage. However, he accredited it partly to the new Experience UI by Samsung, which comes with brand new animations and smaller footprint. Samsung is also expected to launch the Note 9 in upgraded configurations – 6GB + 128GB, 8GB + 256GB and 8GB + 512GB. Other revelations include improved ISOCELL cameras, Bluetooth support for S-Pen and improved daylight visibility.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is rumoured to come in black, blue, grey, lavender, and brown colour variants. We will bring you pricing and availability details on August 9th, when the smartphone goes official, so stay tuned.
