Speaking of the QLED televisions first, Samsung has equipped the series with an ‘Ambient Mode’, which is designed to replicate the pattern of the wall behind to blend into the room even when it’s turned off. This can be done by capturing the wall behind using Samsung’s SmartThings application and the television than imitates the same look on the screen. The same application can also be used to connect the television to other smart devices in the range as well as the smartphone to mirror the content, seamlessly. The TVs in the refreshed QLED lineup also offer weather display, custom backgrounds and near invisible glass fiber cable, which the brand is referring to as an ‘Invisible Connection’. Samsung has introduced eight new models in this range varying from 55-inch to 75-inch, with flat as well as curved screen options.
As for the UHD lineup, the latest TVs get HDR support and Samsung’s Dynamic Crystal Color technology. The Chaebol also claims that the Dynamic Crystal Color Technology is intended to provide crystal clear tones across an expanded colour spectrum. These televisions also get the Samsung One remote with S-voice, Bluetooth as well as the smartphone pairing support. The range has an entry-level 7100 series followed by 7470, 8000 series and the highest-end model, The Frame.
Moving on to the ‘Make for India’ Concert series, Samsung has unveiled two variants – Smart Concert and Joy Concert. Samsung claims that the Concert series combines hardware and software improvements, to deliver a powerful cinematic surround sound. These televisions have been equipped with four 10W speakers – two at the top and two at the bottom. Samsung is offering the Concert series in 32-inch, 43-inch, and 49-inch models.
As for the pricing, the QLED series starts from Rs 2,45,000, while the UHD series will retail for a starting price of Rs 64,900. The base variant of Concert series will set you back by Rs 27,500.
