Sony Xperia XZ3’s leaked specs sheet reveals Snapdragon 845 SoC and dual rear camera module

At this year’s MWC in Barcelona in February, Sony launched the Xperia XZ2 (first impressions) flagship smartphone with a Snapdragon 845 processor. Now it appears that the company has already started working on the successor to the smartphone. Ahead of the unveiling, the purported Sony Xperia XZ3’s complete specification sheet has been leaked by a Japanese blog Sumaho Info.

As per the leaked specs sheet, the Sony Xperia XZ3 could flaunt a 5.7-inch display bearing a resolution of 2,160 x 1,080 pixels, and possibly an aspect ratio of 18:9. The phone is tipped to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, aided by 6GB of RAM and an Adreno 630 GPU. The handset is said to be available in multiple storage configurations ranging between 64GB and 128GB. Software-wise, it is expected to boot Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

The leaked specs sheet also indicates that the Sony Xperia XZ3 could flaunt a 19MP camera at the rear, aided by a 12MP secondary shooter. For selfies, it is said to come with a 13MP selfie snapper with f/2.0 aperture. The phone could arrive with IP68 certification for water and dust resistance. A 3,240mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support is expected to fuel the device. The connectivity features will include dual-SIM slots, 4G LTE, VoLTE, NFC, USB Type-C, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, A-GPS.

The Sony Xperia XZ3 is rumoured to be unveiled at this year’s IFA in early September. Unfortunately, there’s no word regarding the pricing and availability of the phone at the moment. We will update you as and when we get more details, so stay tuned!
