Vivo NEX with 6.5-inch FHD+ display and 4,000mAh battery spotted in yet another specs leak

It seems like we are experiencing a high tide of leaks and rumours regarding Vivo’s upcoming premium flagship – Vivo NEX. Just recently, leaked promo material of the handset revealed several key specs of the handset including a massive 6.59-inch display and 4,000mAh battery. Now, a new leak coming from noted tipster Ben Gaskin has outed the complete spec sheet of the handset, corroborating the ones we have already seen earlier.

The latest leak reveals that the upcoming smartphone will come with a 6.59-inch display bearing a screen resolution of 2,316 x 1,080 pixels. In the performance department, the smartphone is expected to come in two configurations one with the high-end Snapdragon 845 SoC and other with the latest Snapdragon 710 chipset with AI engine. As for RAM and storage, the former is expected to come with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage, whereas, the latter will offer 6GB + 128GB. The dimensions of the smartphone have been revealed to be 162mm x 77mm x 7.98mm. For security, the handset is expected to have the under-display fingerprint scanner.

Coming to the imaging department, Gaskin has revealed that the NEX will flaunt a dual rear camera module with 12MP + 5MP setup. For selfies, the handset is expected to have an 8MP shooter, which is expected to be retractable in the high-end variant and placed on the bottom bezel in the SD710 model. The smartphone will likely boot the last generation Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and gets a beefy 4,000mAh battery. The phone has also been spotted on a Chinese TV show (video above) with the all display fascia, retractable selfie camera, dual camera module, and glass make visible in all their glory.

With the barrage of leaks and rumours surrounding the Vivo NEX coming our way, there is not much left to the imagination by now. We will bring you official details on June 12th when the handset gets unveiled in China.
