Vivo Y81 with notch display and face unlock launched in Vietnam

While we have been waiting for the Indian launch of Vivo NEX, which is expected to be unveiled next month, Vivo has quietly made its Y81 smartphone available for purchase in Vietnam. To recall, the company launched its Vivo Y83 smartphone in India last month with a notch design and Helio P22 SoC. Notably, much like the Vivo Y83, the new offering from the company also comes with a display notch up top and Helio P22 SoC underneath the hood to drive the performance.

Listed on the FPTShop online store, spotted by Nashville Chatter Class, the Vivo Y81 sports a 6.22-inch HD+ (1520 x 720 pixels) IPS display with a tall 19:9 aspect ratio. As mentioned earlier, the handset is powered by a Helio P22 SoC, mated to 3GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage, which is further expandable via microSD card up to 256GB.

If we talk about the optics, the handset offers a 13-megapixel primary rear-facing camera with f/2.2 aperture, accompanied by an LED flash. For selfies and video calling, as well as the face unlock feature, there is a 5-megapixel selfie camera. To keep things running, the Y83 houses a 3,260mAh battery.

Finally coming to the pricing and availability, the Vivo Y81 is currently available for purchase at VND 4,990,000 (roughly Rs. 14,900) on the online store and can be bought right away.
