Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 and Redmi 6 Pro to launch in China on June 25th

Multiple reports in the past have suggested that Xiaomi could soon launch its next-gen Mi series tablet and a new Redmi 6 series handset. Today, the Chinese tech giant has announced that it will be releasing the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 slate and the Redmi 6 Pro smartphone at an event in China on June 25th. The company made the announcement on its account on Chinese social networking website Weibo.

As for the features, earlier reports have indicated that the Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 could feature a 7.9-inch LCD display bearing an aspect ratio of 18:9. The slate is said to be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 octa-core processor. The tablet is expected to sport a 13MP primary shooter and a 5MP secondary snapper. The device is rumoured to boot MIUI based on Android Oreo out of the box, and get a 6,000mAh battery.

Talking about the Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro, the phone is expected to feature an all-metal unibody design with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The handset is said to sport a 5.84-inch display bearing a full-HD+ resolution and a notch above the screen. The device is expected to come in multiple RAM and storage configurations – 2GB+16GB, 3GB+32GB, and 4GB+64GB. At the rear, the handset is rumoured to offer a 12MP primary snapper, aided by a secondary shooter. For selfies, the phone could sport a 5MP snapper. There’s no word regarding the handset’s processor at the moment.
