Xiaomi Mi Pocket Speaker 2 with 7-hour battery life lands in India for Rs 1,499

Xiaomi has expanded its range of audio accessories in India with the launch of the Mi Pocket Speaker 2. Launched on the occasion of World Music Day on June 21st, the company’s latest wireless speaker features a minimalist design. The brand partnered with Germany’s popular manufacturer Tymphany to develop the Mi Pocket Speaker 2.

The Mi Pocket Speaker 2’s upper body is built of aluminium with an anodised oxide coating, while the lower part is made of strong PC + ABS alloy. As per the brand, the accessory has a fabric net design for clear sound with perfect bass and treble. The speaker has a top-mounted control button, and its top is rotatable to let you control the volume.

The Mi Pocket Speaker 2 features a powerful 5W speaker, which has an impedance of 4ohms. The speaker comes with Bluetooth 4.1 connectivity, and has a range of up to 10 metres. Powering the device is a 1,200mAh battery, which is claimed to deliver up to seven hours of continuous audio playback. There’s also a built-in microphone for hands-free calling.

 The Xiaomi Mi Pocket Speaker 2 has been priced affordably at Rs 1,499. The accessory comes in black and white hues, and is available on the company’s website in the country.
