Amazon set to deliver OnePlus 6, Moto G6, and Redmi 5 within two hours via Prime Now

Ahead of the company’s Prime Day celebration on July 16th, Amazon has now announced that the company is bringing some the exclusive smartphones available via it’s e-retail website to the Prime Now app. This lineup of handsets includes some of the more popular models like the OnePlus 6 (review), Moto G6 (review), Redmi 5 (review), and RealMe 1 (review).

For those who are unaware, Prime Now is an app-only service that is currently available to customers in Bengaluru, Mumbai, New Delhi, and Hyderabad. Apart from the newly added smartphones, the app also offers other products like Fire TV Stick, All New Kindle, Kindle Paperwhite (Wi-Fi), Echo Dot, and Echo.

Most notably, the Prime Now service offers a 2-hour “ultra-fast delivery” to Prime members anytime between 6 am to midnight, and the most convenient same-day 2-hour slots from 6 AM to 12 midnight for all customers.

“We are excited to add the bestselling Amazon Exclusive mobile phones to Prime Now selection of over 10,000 products available in hours. These consumer electronics categories have seen rapid adoption and have grown 10x month-on-month since launch. In fact, our launch offer on Amazon Devices led to overwhelming demand leading to a sell-out of the Fire TV stick within 72 hours!” Siddharth Nambiar, head of Prime Now India, was quoted as saying in the company’s release.

Interestingly, the new announcement comes just in time for the Prime Day, which is a 36-hour celebration that will be organised from 12 pm on July 16th to midnight on July 17th. As part of this celebration, the company will be offering several deals on the products available through its platform.

Along with this announcement, the company shared that members shopping through the Prime Now app starting today can get 25 percent off on grocery orders above Rs 1,500 till July 15th. Further, new customers on Prime Now during this period will get up to Rs 100 cashback for their first purchase above Rs 100.

Prime Now app is available through both Google Play and App Store on Android and iOS, respectively.
