ASUS Zenfone 5Z 8GB RAM variant to go on sale starting July 30th

ASUS announced the Zenfone 5Z (review) smartphone in India, earlier this month. The flagship handset from the Taiwanese phone maker comes with some impressive specifications at a mid-range price. Today, the company has announced the availability of the Zenfone 5Z variant with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage in India. The phone is set to go on sale from July 30th onwards, exclusively through Flipkart.
Apart from the new configuration, everything else remains the same on the handset. To recall, the smartphone sports a 6.2-inch FHD+ display on the front with a notch and an aspect ratio of 19:9. It is equipped with a Snapdragon 845 mobile chipset under the hood and runs Android Oreo-based Zen UI out of the box. The dual-SIM handset is backed by a 3,300mAh battery with ASUS BoostMaster fast charging tech.
In the camera department, the Zenfone 5Z features dual 12MP + 8MP sensors on the rear with LED flash, AI, autofocus, EIS, OIS, and Dual Pixel autofocus. The front camera is an 8-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. Other features include a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, face unlock, dual 5-magnet speakers, PMIC internal dual amplifiers, dual microphones, hi-res audio, and DTS Headphone.
The Asus Zenfone 5Z 8GB RAM variant has been priced in India at Rs 36,999. In comparison, the phone’s 6GB RAM and 64GB storage variant cost Rs 29,000 and the variant with 6GB RAM and 128GB storage comes with a price tag of Rs 32,999.
The brand is also providing a launch offer on the Zenfone 5Z’s 8GB RAM model. Potential buyers can avail flat Rs.2000 discount on the phone with Axis Bank Credit and Debit Cards. The new variant will be made available in Meteor Silver and Midnight Blue colour options.
