BSNL’s new Rs 171 prepaid plan offers 2GB of data per day for 30 days
“The new tariff offers a total of 60GB of data along with free calls for a month”
State-run telecom service provider BSNL has launched a new prepaid plan to take on the latest tariffs by Reliance Jio and Airtel. BSNL’s newly announced pack costs Rs 171. The benefits of the plan unlimited local / STD calls pan-India, SMS benefits, and a total of 60GB data – 2GB per day – for 30 days.

The above plan challenges Reliance Jio’s Rs 198 pack that offers similar benefits, but for 28 days. Bharati Airtel on the other hand, charges its prepaid users Rs 199 for 28 days, and delivers unlimited calls, SMS benefits, and 1.4GB of data per day for the same period. As you can see, the new BSNL tariff is more affordable and provides better data benefit.
Talking more about the BSNl’s Rs 171 plan, it has free local/ STD calls with no FUP limit and 100 SMSes per day for 28 days. Unlike the previous BSNL plans, this tariff has voice calling benefit applicable to Mumbai and Delhi regions too. Usually, the telecom operator skips voice calling benefits with its packs for these regions.
As reported by TelcomTalk, BSNL’s latest Rs 171 prepaid tariff is available for its subscribers in Andhra Pradesh & Telangana circle. We expect BSNL to bring this pack to other telecom circles in the near future.
