Xiaomi is all set to launch its next-gen Android One smartphones, the Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite in Madrid, today. The handset maker will unveil the phone at a launch event in Spain at 02:30 pm IST. For those who want to watch the unveiling, the event will also be livestreamed. Xiaomi has already confirmed the launch of Mi A2 and its smaller variant, aptly dubbed Mi A2 Lite. Coming to the specs, both the phones are rumoured to come with bezel-free screens and vertically-positioned dual-camera setup at the back. Talking about the Mi A2, it’s widely expected to be the global variant of the Mi 6X that was launched in China earlier this year. The handset comes with an 18:9, 5.99-inch FHD+ display. Under the hood, the Snapdragon 660 SoC is paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage. For photography, the Mi A2 is likely to feature 12MP+ 20MP rear cameras with f/1.7 aperture lens and an LED flash. There’s a 20MP selfie shooter on the front. A 3,010mAh battery with fast charging keeps the phone running.

Meanwhile, the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite is expected to feature a 5.84-inch Full HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch up top. Hardware-wise, the phone packs in a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 SoC with 3GB of RAM and up to 64GB storage. On the camera front, the handset is rumoured to come with a 12-megapixel primary sensor and a 5-megapixel secondary sensor on the rear. Its front camera is rated at 5MP. A 4,000mAh battery inside the phone completes the spec sheet.
