Honor 9N to go on sale in India for the first time today, prices start at Rs 11,999

Huawei sub-brand Honor took the wraps off the Honor 9N (first impression) smartphone in India last week. Its key highlights include a notch-toting display, dual rear cameras, and multiple RAM and storage options. Today, the Honor 9N will be going on sale for the very first time exclusively on Flipkart and Honor’s online store starting at 12:00 PM (IST) across the country.

The Honor 9N’s price starts at Rs 11,999 for the 3GB RAM variant, followed by Rs 13,999 for the 4GB RAM version and Rs 17,999 for the high-end 6GB RAM model. All three variants will be up for grabs in Lavender Purple, Sapphire Blue, Midnight Black and Robin Egg Blue hues. As part of the launch offer, the 9N will also come with Rs 2,200 cashback from Reliance Jio and an additional 100GB data from the telecom operator.

As for the specifications, the Honor 9N sports a 5.84-inch display with a full HD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The smartphone is powered by a HiSilicon Kirin 659 processor, which is mated with Mali-T830 GPU. The phone also comes with the GPU Turbo technology which is said to boost the performance by up to 60 percent. Depending upon the RAM, the phone comes with 32GB, 64GB or 128GB of storage, which is expandable further up to 256GB via a microSD card. The handset offers a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and face unlock for security.

For photography, the Honor 9N is equipped with a dual-camera setup on the back, with a 13-megapixel snapper, and a 2-megapixel depth sensor. The rear shooters are backed by LED flash and offer features like PDAF and a portrait mode with hardware-level blur effects. For selfies, you get a 16-megapixel snapper with AI features. The phone boots EMUI 8.0 based on Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. A 3,000mAh battery completes the spec sheet of the Honor 9N.
