“The Nova 3i is the launch vehicle of the brand’s latest HiSilicon Kirin 710 processor”
After being in news through a number of leaks and speculations, the Huawei Nova 3i has finally gone official in China. Notably, the smartphone comes as a toned-down variant of the recently-launched Nova 3. The latest offering also marks the debut of Huawei’s newest mid-range processor – HiSilicon Kirin 710.
Talking about specs, the Huawei Nova 3i has been equipped with a 6.3-inch display with a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio for housing the notch. The display also gets a layer of 2.5D curved glass on top. The highlight of the handset is, of course, the Kirin 710 chipset, which is an octa-core SoC and comes with the latest GPU Turbo Technology. The smartphone is being offered in three RAM and storage options – 4GB + 128GB, 6GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB. For security, there’s a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.
Coming to the imaging department, the Honor 3i comes with a dual-camera setup on the rear panel, comprising a 16MP primary camera and 2MP secondary shooter. The rear snapper is also equipped with AI-enabled automatic scene detection and portrait mode. On the front sits another dual-camera module in the form of 24MP + 2MP sensors for selfies and video calling. The smartphone boots EMUI 8.2 based on Android 8.1 Oreo. For power requirements, the handset relies on a 3,340mAh battery.
The phonemaker is offering the Nova 3i in Black, White and Blue hues. In China, the phone has been priced at RMB 1,999 (~Rs 20,400) for the 4GB model and RMB 2,199 (~Rs 22,400) for 6GB + 64GB variant. The latest launch will be up for pre-ordering starting August 1st and is slated to go on sale on August 8th. Huawei has also announced the pricing of the Nova 3, which was launched earlier, and carries a starting price of RMB 2,999 (~Rs 30,600) for the 6GB RAM + 128GB variant. The brand has already confirmed that both these handsets will land in India on July 26th, so stay tuned for their pricing and availability info for the country.
