Idea launches Rs 295 plan with 5G data, free SMSes and call benefits for prepaid users
“The plan offers 5GB data for the next 42 days, which sums up to 210GB in total”
Just last week, Idea Cellular launched its Rs 221 prepaid plan across India. It offers 1.4GB of data per day, unlimited local/STD calls to all networks for 28GB. Today, the Aditya Birla owned-telco has rolled out a new prepaid plan of Rs 295 across India with more data benefits, extended validity, and free calls to any network, but there’s a catch here.
The Rs 295 plan offers Idea pre-paid customers 5GB of 2G/3G/4G data per day for 42 days, which results in a whopping 210GB internet for the period. The plan also offers unlimited calls, but Idea is limiting it to weekly/daily basis. As per TelecomTalks, Idea is charging 1p/sec call if you exceed more than 250 minutes of outgoing minutes (local+STD+national roaming) in a day, and by day, it means till midnight. It is an unusual scheme, considering its competitors are going berserk with calling benefits.
The aforementioned recharge includes 100 SMS pack for the next 42 days, though. The offer is valid for all and applicable throughout the country.
