Intex INFIE 33 and INFIE 3 with 18:9 full view display launched, prices start from Rs 4,649

The domestic smartphone maker, Intex today unleashed its new INFIE 33 and INFIE 3 series smartphones in India. These are both budget phones with a full view 18:9 aspect ratio display and a fresh Intex UI that adds features such as Face Unlock, Privacy System, APP Freezer, and a host of camera features like bokeh effect, face beauty and watermark.

While the INFEI 33 operates on Android Nougat as the base OS, the INFEI 3 is an Android Go phone, which means it runs on a trimmed down version of Android Oreo.

Starting with Intex INFEI 33 specifications, the handset sports a 5.34-inch FWVGA+ (480×960 pixels) display. It is powered by a 1.3GHz quad-core SoC, coupled with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD card. 

On the camera front, the INFEI 33 boasts a 5MP sensor with dual-LED flash on the rear and another 5MP sensor on the front. The device comes with a 3000mAh battery, which as per Intex can deliver up to 13 hours of talk time.

Commenting on the launch of the phones, Ms Nidhi Markanday, Intex Technologies director, said, “With each passing year, consumer demands, especially from the youth, keep evolving. After body design, processor, and cameras, it’s time for bigger screen ratios giving life-size view and perspective. The Full View Series from the house of Intex is all about Big View, and INFIE 33 and 3 models are tech marvels for discerning consumers brought in the affordable new sub-5K price point for the market.”

The Intex INFEI 3, on the other hand, employs a 4.95-inch FWVGA+ (480×960 pixels) display, 1.1GHz quad-core SoC, 1GB of RAM and 8GB internal storage (expandable up to 128GB). For shutterbugs, it features a 5MP camera sensor at the back with a single LED flash and a 2MP camera sensor at the front. The phone houses a 2000mAh battery with a talk time of up to nine hours and 180 hours of standby time.

There is no fingerprint sensor on either phone, which means the software face unlock is the only biometrics available in them. Connectivity options on both the phones include 4G LTE, VoLTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS/ A-GPS, Micro-USB, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Coming to the price, the Intex INFEI 33 costs Rs 5,049, and it comes in black, blue, and champagne colour options. Whereas the Android Go phone, INFEI 3 retails at Rs 4,649 and is available in grey, gold, and light blue colour options. Both the phones can be purchased from bricks and mortar stores across the country.
