LG Signature Edition 2018 with zirconium ceramic back goes official

LG has expanded its range of Signature Edition series smartphones with the launch of the Signature Edition 2018. The phone comes as a more premium version of the LG V35 ThinQ. The latest offering in the Signature Edition series flaunts a zirconium ceramic back cover, which offers protection against scratches. The phone sports a sleek black and white design, and comes bundled with a pair of Bang & Olufsen headphones.

Apart from the premium exterior, the rest of the specs of the LG Signature Edition 2018 are the same as the V35 ThinQ. The phone sports a 6-inch FullVision OLED display with an aspect ratio of 18:9 and QHD+ resolution. Powering the phone is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor, aided by 6GB of RAM and an Adreno 630 GPU. The storage capacity on board is 256GB, which can be further increased up to 2TB by inserting a microSD card. Software-wise, the handset boots Android 8.0 Oreo-based LG UX interface on top.

The LG Signature Edition 2018 flaunts a 16MP primary shooter with f/1.6 aperture and a 71-degree wide-angle lens, aided by a 16MP secondary snapper featuring an aperture of f/1.9. On the front, there’s an 8MP shooter with an aperture of f/1.9. Design-wise, the handset gets IP68 certification for protection against dust and water. In terms of connectivity, the phone has 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, USB Type-C, and NFC. A 32-bit advanced Hi-Fi quad DAC and DTS: X 3D Surround Sound is also present on board. A 3,300mAh battery with Quick Charge 3.0 keeps the handset alive.

The LG Signature Edition 2018 carries a hefty price tag of 1,999,800 WON (~Rs 1,23,000). LG will only be selling limited 300 units of the phone in Korea starting August 13th.
