MEIZU 16 and 16 Plus to launch on August 8th, spotted on 3C certification site

Chinese handset maker MEIZU’s upcoming flagships MEIZU 16 and MEIZU 16 Plus have been in news a lot lately, thanks to various revelations by company’s founder Huang Zhang. Earlier, the alleged spec sheet of these smartphones was spotted on the Russian website, Mymeizuclub. Now. both these smartphones have stopped by Chinese certification website – 3C and got their official launch date set to August 8th.
The MEIZU 16 and MEIZU 16 Plus were spotted on the 3C certification website, bearing model numbers M882Q and M892Q. However, the Chinese listing doesn’t reveal anything significant about the upcoming smartphones. In yet another leak, a real-life leaked image of the MEIZU 16 Plus has been spotted on the Internet, showing us the rear panel of the smartphone. Since Zhang has confirmed that the 16 Plus will come with an under-display fingerprint scanner and the phone seen in the image is missing the rear-mounted fingerprint sensor, the leaked photo is believed to be of the Plus variant.
The leaked image shows off the dual camera setup on the rear panel along with the signature circular LED flash under it. Moreover, the handset in the image is seen in white hue and an all-glass build with metal chassis. Previous leaks have hinted that MEIU 16 will come with a 5.6-inch OLED display and powered by Snapdragon 845 chipset. The smartphone is likely to come in two configurations – 6GB RAM + 64GB storage and 6GB RAM + 128GB storage. For cameras, the MEIZU 16 will get 12MP + 20MP rear camera module and 20MP front camera. A 3,080mAh battery with fast charging support. The 16 Plus retains the spec sheet except for a bigger 6.1-inch display, 3,600mAh battery, 12MP + 12MP + 20MP triple camera module and 128GB or 256GB of storage.
