MEIZU 16’s alleged poster reveals an impressive 91.18 percent screen-to-body ratio

MEIZU’s upcoming smartphone dubbed the MEIZU 16 been the subject of the numbers of leaks and rumours lately. We have already seen renders of the handset, and its specs leaked through the certification’s site, TENAA. Now, an alleged official poster of MEIZU 16 was shared on the Chinese micro-blogging site, Weibo, that claims the phone will have a staggering 91.18 percent screen-to-body ratio.

The handset’s design in the image is in line with what we have seen previously. The MEIZU 16 is expected to flaunt a nearly-bezel less display on the front with no cut-out up top. The phone can also be seen sporting a front-facing camera and an earpiece. Unfortunately, no other specs have been detailed by the leak. 

As per the earlier reports however, the MEIZU 16 is said to sport either a 6- or 6.5-inch OLED display with an aspect ratio of 18:9. The latest Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 SoC will lie at its heart, and the device is tipped to come with a 2,950mAh battery. Meanwhile, a ‘Plus‘ variant of the MEIZU 16 is also expected. We don’t have much information of that either, except that it’s expected to come with the flagship Snapdragon 845 chipset and a beefy 3,570mAh battery.

The Chinese OEM has set August 8th as the date of unveiling both the MEIZU 16 and 16 Plus. We should have more details regarding these phones as we inch closer to the event, so stay tuned.
