Moto E5 Plus with 18:9 Max Vision display launching in India on July 10th
“The Moto E5 Plus is a budget offering with a Snapdragon 425 / 435 SoC and a 5,000mAh battery”
Earlier this year in April, Lenovo-owned Motorola unveiled its latest Moto E series smartphones dubbed the Moto E5, Moto E5 Play, and Moto E5 Plus. Recently, the Moto E5 was spotted in a poster outside a retail store in India. Now, the company has sent out invites for a press event in the country for July 10th, where it will be unveiling the Moto E5 Plus. The brand has also revealed that the phone will be an Amazon India exclusive.
Motorola hasn’t yet confirmed if it will be launching the Moto E5 in India alongside the Moto E5 Plus on July 16th. However, the former is already available from third-party sellers on Amazon India for around Rs 10,700 in a single flash grey hue. So it’s likely that the company will also be releasing both the Moto E5 and Moto E5 Plus in the country at its July 10th event.
To recap on the specs, the Moto E5 Plus offers a nearly bezel-free display bearing an aspect ratio of 18:9. The phone gets a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor that’s embedded inside the Moto icon, and a premium glass-sandwich design. The device is equipped with a 6-inch HD+ display and boots Android 8.0 Oreo out of the box. Powering the handset is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 / 435 processor, aided by 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage.
At the rear, the Moto E5 Plus has a 12-megapixel primary shooter with phase detection autofocus and an LED flash unit. For selfies and video calling, you get an 8-megapixel snapper with a dedicated LED flash. The connectivity options include 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and A-GPS. A5,000mAh battery with Turbo Charging support keeps the handset alive.
The Moto E5 Plus was launched in Brazil at around Rs 14,000. The phone comes in Black, Mineral Blue, Flash Grey, and Fine Gold hues. We should have its pricing and availability details for India on July 10th, so stay tuned.
