New Honor 10 GT variant with 8GB of RAM launched in China

“The new Honor 10 model offers the same specs as the earlier variant, except for higher RAM capacity”

Earlier this year in April, Honor unveiled the Honor 10 (review) flagship in its home market of China, and launched the phone soon after in the Indian market. Now the company has introduced a new variant of the handset called the Honor 10 GT with higher RAM capacity in China. The new model has 8GB of RAM as compared to 6GB available on the earlier model.

Apart from higher RAM capacity, the rest of the specifications of the Honor 10 GT are the same as the earlier model. The phone sports a 5.84-inch LCD FullView screen with a resolution of 2,280 x 1,080 pixels. The device has an aspect ratio of 19:9 and a screen-to-body ratio of 86.2 percent. Powering the handset is a 2.4GHz octa-core 10nm Kirin 970 processor. The phone is equipped with 128GB of storage. At the rear, there’s a dual 24MP + 16MP camera sensor, and on the front, you get a 24MP selfie shooter. Software-wise, the handset boots Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box with EMUI 8.1 on top.

Design-wise, the Honor 10 GT boasts glass on both the front and the back, and a metal frame. The phone features a front-mounted fingerprint sensor, which is hidden under the home button. The handset also gets face unlock capability. A 3,400mAh battery with fast charging support keeps the 4G smartphone running.

The Honor 10 GT will be available in China starting July 24th. The company hasn’t yet revealed the pricing details of the flagship. However, it is expected to be priced slightly higher than the Honor 10, which is available in India for Rs 32,999.
