Report: Samsung Galaxy S10 to come in three sizes with in-display fingerprint sensor
“Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo suggests that the Galaxy S10 will be available in 5.8-inch, 6.1-inch, and 6.4-inch sizes”
Last month, a report from South Korea suggested that Samsung was working on three different variants of its 10th-anniversary smartphone, the Galaxy S10. These devices are allegedly codenamed Beyond 0, Beyond 1, and Beyond 2. Now corroborating with the earlier leaks, the well-known TF International Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo also claims that Samsung is indeed working on three different Galaxy S10 models. Kuo has also revealed a few more details regarding the upcoming Galaxy S series flagship.

According to the analyst, one of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S10 models will feature a 5.8-inch display and another will sport a 6.1-inch screen. The largest variant of the flagship could offer a 6.4-inch display. Furthermore, the source suggests that the 6.1-inch and 6.4-inch models of the Galaxy S10 will flaunt an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, which will be embedded into the display.
The 5.8-inch variant is said to sport the fingerprint scanner on the side of the device, which will be a first for Samsung. The brand’s CEO has also talked about the in-display fingerprint sensor technology at a recent media event. As per the report, the same tech could also be used on Samsung’s high-end A series devices and the Galaxy Note 10, which will launch in fall 2019 and come with a 3D-sensing camera as well.

Furthermore, Kuo suggests that Samsung is expecting to ship 40 million Galaxy S10 units next year. The two larger expensive variants will account the most for all the shipments. As for the upcoming Galaxy Note 10, the source predicts Samsung is aiming to ship around 14 million to 16 million units of the phone next year.
