Samsung CEO spotted using the alleged Galaxy Note 9 in public

“The Galaxy Note 9 is rumoured to arrive with a newly-arranged dual camera and fingerprint sensor module at the rear”

Last month, Samsung announced that it would be unveiling its next-gen Galaxy Note series flagship, purportedly dubbed the Galaxy Note 9, at an event on August 9th. Ahead of the unveiling, we’ve already seen a number of leaked renders and images of the upcoming Galaxy Note.  Most recently, the phone was spotted on the Chinese certification agency TENAA. Now, the company’s mobile division CEO DJ Koh himself might have given us a look at the Galaxy Note 9.

During a recent media event, Koh made an appearance and talked about the in-display fingerprint sensor technology, which is coming on the Galaxy S10 flagship. At the event, he also spoke of the upcoming Galaxy Note 9. While Koh didn’t show off the Galaxy Note 9, a photo shows him using the alleged Galaxy Note 9. The phone isn’t clearly visible in the image, but the cut-outs on the back of the device match up perfectly with earlier leaks.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is expected to come with a new dual camera system housing at the rear. The fingerprint sensor of the handset will be located below the dual cameras, instead of the side like on its predecessor. Koh is doing something on the purported Galaxy Note 9 using the S Pen, which is expected to come with improved features like Bluetooth connectivity. Sadly, no other details about the new Note were revealed at the event.

According to the rumour mill, after unveiling the Samsung Galaxy Note 9 at an event on August 9th in New York, the company will start selling the flagship on August 24th. We should have more details about the device in the near future, so keep in touch.
