Sony Xperia XZs, L2, and R1 receive price cuts of up to Rs 10,000 in India

Sony India announced on Friday that the brand is adjusting the retail price for some of its handsets across price ranges. As a part of this adjustment, the smartphones that have received the price cuts are Xperia XZs, L2, and R1. Notably, Sony has clarified that the new pricing will be effective starting Friday.

Top of the lot, the Xperia XZs, which earlier received a price cut last year, has received another price cut and is now available for Rs 31, 990. The Xperia L2, which was earlier available for Rs 20,990, is now available at a reduced price of Rs 15,990. Finally, the Xperia R1 has now received a price cut of Rs 1,000 and will now be available for Rs 10,990.

If we talk about specifications, the Xperia XZs sports a 5.2-inch full-HD display and is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, coupled with 4GB of RAM and Adreno 530 GPU. The handset comes with 64GB of built-in storage, which is further expandable via microSD card. In terms of optics, the handset comes with a 19MP primary sensor, which is capable of shooting slow-motion videos at 960fps. For selfies, there is a 13MP sensor at the front.

Moving to the Xperia L2, the handset comes with 5.5-inch HD display. The handset is powered by MediaTek MT6737T processor, mated to 3GB of RAM. The smartphone comes with 32GB of built-in storage, which is further expandable via microSD card. In terms of optics, there is an 8MP selfie camera with 120-degree “super-wide angle” lens. At the rear, the Xperia L2 comes with a 13MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture.

Finally, the Xperia R1 sports a 5.2-inch HD display and is powered by a Snapdragon 430 processor clocked at 1.4GHz, coupled with 2GB of RAM. The handset comes with 16GB of built-in storage, which can be further expanded up to 128GB via a microSD card. The handset comes with a 13-megapixel rear camera, with autofocus and LED flash. At the front, the handset comes with an 8-megapixel selfie camera. 

These Xperia models are available in all Sony Centers, Amazon, Flipkart and major electronic stores across India.
