Vivo Z1i with 6.26-inch 19:9 screen and Snapdragon 636 SoC launched in China

Just a couple of days ago, the Vivo Z1i smartphone’s alleged renders and specifications had leaked on the interwebs. Today, the Chinese electronics giant has officially launched the phone in its home market of China. The device comes as a mid-range offering with a nearly bezel less screen, a display notch, and Funtouch LS 4.0 based on Android 8.1 Oreo.

The Vivo Z1i sports a 6.25-inch full HD+ IPS display bearing an aspect ratio of 19:9. The phone is powered by a 1.8GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 636 processor, aided by an Adreno 509 GPU and 4GB of RAM. The storage capacity on board is 128GB, which can be further increased up to 256GB through a microSD card. For security, you have a fingerprint sensor, which is placed in the middle at the rear below the camera.

The Vivo Z1i boasts a 13-megapixel primary shooter with f/2.2 aperture and an LED flash, aided by a 2-megapixel secondary snapper. For selfies and video calling, there is a 16-megapixel camera with f/2.0 aperture. The connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and A-GPS. A 3,260mAh battery keeps the handset running.

The Vivo Z1i has been priced at the equivalent of Rs 19,500. The phone will be available in China starting July 7th in black and gold colour variants. There’s no word regarding its global availability at the moment.
