Xiaomi introduces Mijia Quarts Watch for around Rs 3,500
“The Mijia Quartz Watch combines the looks of a classic watch with some smart features”
Xiaomi’s Mijia brand has added a new accessory to its portfolio in China, with the launch of the Mijia Quarts Watch. The brand’s latest offering is essentially a hybrid watch, which combines the classic looks of a regular smartwatch with some smart functionalities. Xiaomi is aiming to compete with the Lenovo Watch 9 and Withings Steel.

The Xiaomi Mijia Quartz Watch looks like an analog watch, but once connected with your phone, it delivers some smart features. When paired with your compatible device, the Quartz Watch lets you monitor your calories, steps, and distance covered, and set alarms and reminders. To use these functions, there’s a dedicated mobile app. The wearable comes with a built-in calorie counter and pedometer.
Design-wise, the Mijia Quartz Watch sports a stainless steel frame, while its dial has been covered with a strong mineral glass. The wearable can be worn with interchangeable straps, and comes in black, blue with white dial and, grey variants. The device is waterproof up to 30 metres, and comes with a CR2430 battery, which supports low-power Bluetooth 4.0 module.
As for the pricing the Xiaomi Mijia Quartz Watch has been priced affordably at RMB 349 (~Rs 3,500), and will go on sale in China on July 17th. The accessory will be available on Tmall, the Mi Home app, and Mi online store.
