Xiaomi Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite Android One smartphones go official in Spain

After a lot of rumours and speculations, Xiaomi has launched its second-generation Android One smartphone Mi A2 in Madrid, Spain today. The brand also launched a toned-down variant of the handset called Mi A2 Lite at the same event. Notably, the latest smartphone comes as the successor to the Xiaomi Mi A1 (review) with a more modern spec sheet.
Speaking of the Mi A2 first, the smartphone comes with a 5.99-inch full HD+ display with a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 curved glass on top. The display flaunts aluminium unibody design and an aspect ratio of 18:9. Driving the performance of the handset is the mid-range Snapdragon 660 chipset.
In the imaging department, the smartphone comes with a powerful 12-megapixel primary snapper with a 1.25μm pixel, backed by a 20-megapixel secondary shooter with 4-in-1 superpixel. For selfies, there is a 20-megapixel Sony IMX376 snapper on the front panel with a soft selfie flash. The handset boots stock Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box and is powered by a rechargeable 3,010mAh battery with USB Type-C port.
There is no word on the Indian availability and pricing of these smartphones at this moment. The Xiaomi Mi A2 is available in Black, Blue and Glod colour options.
