Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite Android One phone listed on AliExpress ahead of official launch

Xiaomi has started teasing its next-gen Android One smartphone, the Mi A2, ahead of the expected launch on July 24th. Before the unveiling, we have already seen the leaked images and specifications of the upcoming device. Apart from the Mi A2, the brand is also expected to launch the Mi A2 Lite as well. Now just a few days ahead of the launch, AliExpress has jumped the gun and has already listed the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite.

As per the product page on the e-commerce portal, the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite could flaunt a metal unibody design with a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. The phone will feature a nearly bezel-free display with a notch on top, which will be home to the selfie camera, the earpiece, and other sensors. The Android One offering is expected to boot stock version of Android 8.1 Oreo out of the box.

Coming to the other specs, the listing suggests that the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite could sport a 5.84-inch display with a resolution of 2,280 x 1,080 pixels. The phone is said to be powered by a 2.0GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor. The device is tipped to be available in two RAM and storage configurations – 3GB + 32GB and 4GB + 64GB. At the rear, the Mi A2 Lite is said to offer a 12MP primary snapper, aided by a 5MP secondary shooter. On the front, the handset could feature a 5-megapixel camera. The other features will include 4G LTE and a massive 4,000mAh battery, as per the retailer.

AliExpress is offering the Xiaomi Mi A2 Lite’s 3GB RAM variant for $190, while its 4GB model is being offered for $210. The phone is available in black, blue, and gold colour options. We should have the handset’s official pricing and features in the coming days, so stay tuned.
