Xiaomi Mi Max 3 retail box teased by CEO, launch imminent

Xiaomi is most likely to launch its upcoming phablet – Mi Max 3 this month. The frequent spotting of the handset on websites like TENAA and NCC further suggested that the launch of the phablet might just be around the corner. Now, the CEO of Xiaomi, Lei Jun has further fuelled the speculations by teasing the retail box of the smartphone with a message saying the release can be expected soon.
In the image shared by the top executive, the Mi Max 3 retail box looks minimal in all white with gold ‘Max 3′ wording and red Mi logo in the top right corner. However, the teaser by the CEO doesn’t reveal anything else about the upcoming smartphone. Although, in yet another leak, the LCD Display panel of the handset has been spotted on the Chinese social media platform. The components reveal the display size of 6.9-inch with FHD+ resolution.
According to the past leaks, the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 is expected to be a massive phablet with an 18:9 display measuring 6.9-inch. It is likely to be powered by either Snapdragon 636 or Snapdragon 710 chipset as spotted in various listings. Xiaomi is expected to launch the phablet in three variants – 3GB + 32GB, 4GB + 64GB and 6GB + 128GB. It is being rumoured that the smartphone will boot Android 8.1 Oreo-based MIUI 10 and will be powered by a massive 5,400mAh battery.
It is being speculated that Xiaomi will offer the Mi Max 3 in several colour options including black, rose gold, gold, white, blue, red, pink, gray and silver. We will bring you more updates on the smartphone as it goes official and hopefully we won’t have to wait for long.
