Alleged Huawei Mate 20 Lite spotted on TENAA with images

Just yesterday, specifications of Huawei‘s upcoming smartphones — the Mate 20, Mate 20 Lite, and Mate 20 Pro — got leaked via a firmware file. The successors to the Mate 10, Mate 10 Lite and Mate 10 Pro, the forthcoming handsets are expected to sport several incremental upgrades. Today, the entry-level model of the Mate 20, the Mate 10 Lite, has been spotted on the Chinese certification’s site, TENAA. 

The Mate 20 Lite can be seen listed on the certification site as the Maimang 7. Considering that last year Huawei codenamed the Mate 10 Lite as Maimang 6, we can expect its successor to carry that naming convention forward. The recent TENAA listing shows the Mate 20 Lite with model number SNE-AL00, though previous leaks suggest that the phone also carries SN-AL00B, SNE-LX1, SNE-LX2, and SNE-LX3 names. While the certification agency hasn’t shed light on its specs, it has revealed its design.

The Huawei Mate 20 Lite seems to come with a glass design with metal framing in the middle. It’s difficult to ascertain whether the phone will have a display notch, we can expect it to have a full view display. The rear of the phone sports vertically-aligned dual cameras, fingerprint sensor just below it and LED flash right next to the module. The rest of the panel is largely clean with ‘Huawei’ branding at the bottom. The right edge is where one can spot the power button and volume rocker. 

If earlier rumours are anything to go by, the Mate 20 Lite could feature the latest HiSilicon Kirin 710 chipset and EMUI 9-based Android 9.0 out of the box. The phone is expected to launch in the month of September, along with its siblings Huawei Mate 20 and Mate 20 Pro.
