Mysterious OPPO smartphone with model number CPH1875 passes through Wi-Fi certification; could be the F9 Pro?

“The smartphone in question is compatible with Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac as well as dual-band Wi-Fi”

As OPPO is planning to take covers off the F9 and F9 Pro smartphones, it seems that rumours around the upcoming handsets are getting stronger day by day. The company has already sent invites for an event on August 21st, where it’s expected to launch the F9 Pro in the country. Now, an OPPO smartphone has been spotted on the Wi-Fi certification website.

The model number on the website is CPH1875, and the listing suggests that the OPPO phone supports Wi-Fi a/b/g/n/ac. The handset in question also supports dual-band Wi-Fi with 2.4GHz and 5GHz frequencies. While there’s no way to verify which smartphone has received the certification, it seems to be the F9 Pro only, considering its impending launch.

To recall, the OPPO F9 Pro is being teased as a phone with a waterdrop screen, thanks to its Essential Phone-like notch up top. The phone will also come with VOOC charging, which is claimed to offer up to two hours of talktime within just five minutes of charging. According to leaks, the smartphone is expected to feature a 6.3-inch full HD+ display. Under the hood, the handset is said to draw power from the Helio P60 chipset, which is paired with 4GB or 6GB RAM. For storage, the F9 Pro is tipped to offer 64GB or 128GB of built-in memory.

It must be noted that OPPO F9 Pro has also been leaked with model number CPH1823, so it’s quite possible that CPH1875 might refer to an entirely new model altogether. We’ll update you as soon as we get to know, so stay tuned to 91mobiles.
