OPPO R15 Neo (AX5) complete specifications leaked, launch imminent

OPPO, which already has its hands full with the upcoming R17 and F9/ F9 Pro smartphones, seems to be working on another smartphone allegedly called the OPPO R15 Neo or AX5 – depending on the regions. Most recently, the handset was spotted on TENAA certification’s site with model number PBAM00 and PBAT00. The smartphone’s purported specs sheet has now been leaked by mysmartprice. Here’s what you can expect from the upcoming OPPO R15 Neo, aka the OPPO AX5:

As per the leak, the battery will be one of the biggest highlights of the OPPO R15 Neo/ AX5. It is reported to house a 4,230mAh battery to light up the 6.2-inch HD+ (1520 x 720p) display and power Qualcomm Snapdragon 450 chipset. The handset maker could offer the phone in two RAM models – 3GB/4GB, and offer 64GB native storage. In the camera department, OPPO R15 Neo is expected to get a dual 13MP f/2.2 + 2MP f/2.4 camera setup at the rear end and an 8MP shooter on the front for selfies and video calling.

Other than that, the specs sheet reads ColorOS 5.1 based Android 8.1 as the operating system on the phone. Its dimensions are 156.2 x 75.6 x 8.2 mm, and it weighs 168g. Connectivity options include dual-SIM, LTE, 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.2, GPS/ GLONASS and OTG support. Moreover, the handset will be offered in Diamond Blue and Diamond Pink colour options, and there will be no fingerprint sensor onboard.

The specs sheet hasn’t divulged any detail about the pricing of OPPO R15 Neo/ AX5. We expect that information also to be out soon along with if and when the company is planning to announce the phone.
