Qin Ai Phone with 4G VoLTE, AI, Android OS, and physical keypad launched

Qin AI Phone – a feature phone with smartphone-like benefits, recently got launched in China. It is now available for pre-order from Xiaomi’s crowdfunding platform. The handset is 4G LTE enabled and runs on Android-based Mocor OS. It also has AI features that are touted to offer real-time voice translation to 17 different languages, recite stories or poetry to children, and answer questions for you.

The Qin AI Phone doesn’t feature rear or front camera whatsoever, but it has an infrared sensor that can be used to control home appliances like TV, AC, and more. Powering the device is a 1,480mAh battery that is said to offer 15 hours of talk time and 420 hours of standby time. Moreover, the Qin phone features a USB-Type C port and a 2.8-inch QVGA display with 320 x 240 resolution. It rocks 1.3Ghz dual-core SC9820E ARM Cortex A53 processor integrated with ARM Mali T82 GPU and 256MB RAM. The storage onboard is 512MB, which is expandable via a hybrid microSD card slot.

Apart from 4G VoLTE connectivity, the Qi AI phone also comes with Bluetooth 4.2LE, GPS, and 3.5mm headphone jack. Meanwhile, there is also a 2G variant of the Qin AI Phone which runs on Nucleus OS and employs MediaTek MT6260A ARM Cortex A7 SoC paired with 8MB of RAM and 16MB internal storage.
The Qin Ai Phone price is set at RMB 999 yuan (~Rs 1,990), and it comes in Black and White colour variants. The shipping of the phone starts from September 15, 2018, onwards.
