Sony HT-S700RF and HT-S500RF home theatre systems land in India starting at Rs 29,990

Sony has expanded its range of home theatre systems in India with the launch of the HT series. The brand has released two models in the new series called the Sony HT-S500RF and HT-S700RF. The 5.1 channel soundbar home theatre systems deliver immersive audio output with tweeters, and come with a premium design, featuring metal grill on all front and rear speakers.

The Sony HT-S500RF and HT-S700RF home theatre systems deliver a whopping audio output of 1,000 watts, thanks to tweeters equipped high volume boxes. The company says that the tweeters on board reproduce high-frequency sounds for an immersive media experience. The HT-S500RF gets two front tweeters, while the HT-S700RF boasts two front and two rear tweeters. For connectivity, they are equipped with Bluetooth 4.2, HDMI, optical-in ports, analogue audio input, and a USB port. Thanks to Sony’s Music Center app, one can browse music present on their USB pen drives from any corner of the room.

Individually, the Sony HT-S500RF flaunts an 18cm subwoofer, and sports ‘book shelf’ rear speakers. The Sony HT-S700RF, on the other hand, features a larger 20cm subwoofer, and comes with ‘tall boy’ speakers.

Coming to the pricing, the Sony HT-S500RF home theatre system has been priced at Rs 29,990, while the HT-S700RF is being offered for Rs 37,990. They’ll be available in all Sony Center and major electronic stores across the country, apart from Amazon and Flipkart.
