Vodafone announces new Rs 549 and Rs 799 packs with unlimited calling and data benefits
“The Vodafone Rs 549 and Rs 799 plans offer 3.5GB and 4.5GB data respectively for the next 28 days”
A day after launching its Rs 99 prepaid plan, Vodafone India has added two new tariff plans of Rs 549 and Rs 799 to its portfolio, today. This time the benefits are not only for voice-calling, but they also offer data benefits and other bundled offerings. While the Rs 549 plan provides you 3.5GB 3G/ 4G internet data per day, the Rs 799 plan offers 4.5GB data per day for the same 28 days time. In addition, both the prepaid offerings will allow customers to make free calls to any network and avail 100-free SMS benefits per day.

With the recharges mentioned above, Vodafone has bettered its chances against its arch-nemesis Bharti Airtel. In comparison, Airtel offers 3.5GB data with Rs 549 plan but falls short on the Rs 799 scheme with 4GB data per day. Reliance Jio is a clear winner here with its Rs 509 and Rs 799 prepaid plans that gives 4GB and 5GB daily data respectively, along with other benefits like unlimited calling, SMSes, and a free subscription to Jio apps.
Meanwhile, the Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has recently given its final nod to the Vodafone and Idea merger. With this, Vodafone Idea Limited is ready to become the largest carrier in India by subscribers and revenue market share.
