Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 Plus with 10-inch display and 8,650mAh battery goes official

Chinese phone maker – Xiaomi, has announced the Mi Pad 4 Plus tablet on its home soil. It comes with a bigger display and battery capacity, compared to the Mi Pad 4 that was launched a couple of months back with an 8-inch display and 6,000mAh battery. Moreover, the ‘Plus’ also features a front-facing fingerprint sensor and AI-powered Face Unlock capabilities. Other core specs and design remain the same on both the slates.

The Mi Pad 4 sports a 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080p and an aspect ratio of 16:10. Powering the screen is a mammoth 8,650mAh battery under the hood. At its heart lies a Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 chipset, paired with Adreno 512 GPU and 4GB of LPDDR4X RAM. The handset maker is offering the Mi Pad 4 Plus in two storage options of 64GB/ 128GB. 

In the camera department, the tablet sports a 13-megapixel OV13855 sensor at the rear panel and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter on the front, each with f/2.0 aperture lens. Connectivity options include 4G LTE, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, GLONASS, and a USB Type-C port. Lastly, the Mi Pad 4 Plus boots on Android 8.1 Oreo out-of-the-box.

As for the pricing, the Mi Pad 4 retails at RMB 1,899 (~Rs 19,300) for the base 64GB storage variant and RMB 2,099 (~Rs 21,300) for the top-end 128GB storage variant. The tablet will go for sale in China from August 16th in Black and Glod colour variants.
