Xiaomi’s POCO F1 flagship launching in India on August 22nd

After teasing the new smartphone sub-brand POCO, Xiaomi India went ahead and confirmed the POCO F1 as the first handset under the series, debuting on August 22nd. For the new smartphone, the company is focusing on speed and innovation. On its official Twitter account – POCO India, Xiaomi wrote, “More than peak performance, more than speed – the best of smartphone innovation is almost here. Brace yourself for the #MasterOfSpeed. Apart from this, the brand hasn’t divulged any hardware details of the POCO F1. However, if rumours are anything to go by, it could have the Snapdragon 845 ticking at its core. Meanwhile, there are images of unannounced POCOPHONE F1 circulating on the internet lately, and chances are it could land in India as POCO F1. If so the phone could feature a notch-toting display, dual-rear cameras, and a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor. Moreover, the phone will employ liquid cooling system under the hood that for stutter-free performance. 

In the camera department, the POCO F1 is expected to flaunt dual-rear cameras where 12-megapixel will act as a primary sensor and 5-megapixel, secondary. The front camera is likely to boast of a 20-megapixel shooter for selfies and video calling. Other features expected of the handset include a 4,000mAh battery, 6GB of RAM, 128GB storage space, IR Blaster, and Android Oreo-based MIUI.
