Samsung Galaxy J6 Plus spotted on FCC alongside Galaxy J4 Prime
“The Galaxy J6 Plus/ Prime could come with Snapdragon 450 SoC and a 6-inch AMOLED display”
A couple of days back, 91mobiles exclusively brought renders of Samsung’s upcoming smartphone, the Galaxy J6 Prime. The mid-range handset is reported to be branded as the Galaxy J6 Plus in some markets. Now, ahead of the launch, the device has been spotted on the US certification’s site — FCC – alongside another Samsung’s rumoured Galaxy J4 Prime smartphone.

The FCC certification hasn’t revealed anything substantial about Samsung’s smartphones, apart from the model number and their dual-SIM support. As per the listing, the Galaxy J6 Plus will come with model number SM-J610G/DS, while the Galaxy J4 Prime will be associated with SM-J451G/DS. Notably, the handsets were spotted with similar model numbers in previous leaks as well.

If past leaks are anything to go by, then both Galaxy J6 Plus and Galaxy J4 Prime could sport Samsung’s Infinity display. Owing to the 18.5:9 panel, the bezels on the handsets are expected to be thinner. From the rear, the J6 Plus is said to feature dual cameras in the middle just above the ‘Samsung’ branding. The leaked renders of the handset suggest that it will have the fingerprint sensor embedded under the power button on the right edge, instead of the rear panel.
While there’s little we know about the specifications of Galaxy J4 Prime, the Galaxy J6 Plus is expected to rock Snapdragon 450 SoC paired with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB storage. The handset could ship with a 6-inch display, slightly bigger than its predecessor – the Galaxy J6. The camera hardware, battery and software details are not known at the moment.
Samsung is yet to confirm if and when it will announce the smartphones, but looking at the incessant rumours, we expect it to happen sooner. Stay tuned, to receive more updates about the Galaxy J6 Plus/ Prime and Galaxy J4 Prime as and when it’s there.
