Google Docs ‘.new’ links feature lets you create blank documents instantly
“Google has introduced a new way to create blank documents. Google Doc users can now use ‘.new’ link to create blank documents in a jiffy.”
Google has introduced a nifty little feature that will allow its users to create documents more easily than ever. Google Doc users can simply punch in URL’s like docs.new or slide.new and the users will be redirected to a blank document. Google introduced this feature via Twitter. This feature is available for all types of Google Docs including Sheets, Docs, Slides, Sites, and Forms.

Earlier you had to open Google Docs and select the type of document you want to create. With the new feature in place, all you need to do is punch in the relevant shortcut and the service will directly take you to a new document. All said and done, this new feature seems more like a productivity hack, something that will help you save some time.
The best part is that keeping these links in mind is easy. Additionally, you can also use multiple commands to create a spreadsheet. For instance, you can create a new spreadsheet by using
sheet.new’,
sheets.new’ or
spreadsheet.new.’

Google Docs is an entire universe in its own. Tools like the spreadsheets offer advanced features and are mapped to other Google Tools like Google Finance. Recently, Grammarly started beta testing support for Google Docs.
In related news, Google Doc has passed 500 million installs on the PlayStore and this is just months after Google Calendar and Google Duo hit the same milestone.
