OPPO F9 gets a permanent price cut in India

OPPO F9 price in India has been slashed by the Chinese brand by Rs 1,000 as part of a promotional offer for the festive season. However, Team91 has has learnt that this price cut is permanent and the company does not plan to revise it even after the festive season is over. The OPPO F9 price in India at the time of launch was Rs 19,990, but buyers will be able to get the handset for Rs 18,990 from now. The smartphone is available both online and offline, and the discounted price will be applicable on both channels. The OPPO F9 has a waterdrop notch, 25MP selfie camera, 3,500mAh battery, and dual rear cameras as its highlights.

The key OPPO F9 specifications include the 6.3-inch full-HD+ (1,080 x 2,340 pixels) display, Android 8.1 Oreo-based ColorOS 5.2 software, and MediaTel Helio P60 processor. It comes with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt storage, with support for microSD cards of up to 256GB capacity. The dual-SIM (Nano + Nano) smartphone comes in Mist Black and Stellar Purple colour options.

OPPO F9 has a dual rear camera setup, with a 16MP primary sensor (f/1.8 aperture) and a 2MP secondary sensor (f/2.4 aperture) and a LED flash. The front camera has a 25MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture placed within the notch, and comes with portrait mode, Sensor HDR, and AI Beautification 2.1 technology for selfies. Connectivity options on the handset include 4G VoLTE, Bluetooth 4.2, dual-band Wi-Fi, GPS, and microUSB. As mentioned above, it has a 3,500mAh battery. The smartphone measures 156.7 x 74 x7.99mm in size and weighs 169 grams. 

The OPPO F9 competes with the likes of VIVO V9 Pro, Huawei Nova 3i, and Samsung Galaxy A6 Plus, among others. Alongside the OPPO F9, the F9 Pro with 6GB RAM was also launched in India.
